I think anyone can relate to this song. There is a clean version that I may post depending on demand. It's an emotional song, so that's why the explicit lyrics seemed fitting when writing it. Numb is a song about loss and heartbreak and feeling so built up by every emotion that your heart hurts. You're so overwhelmed, you want to crash and burn, anything to escape. You shut down. Devoid of all emotion. Numb. A moment of tranquility. I'm Numb. I'm alone at the end of the day and have killed myself a hundred times to step out of my shell into a new one. Instead, I'd like to grow wings. Numb is a song about flatlining after your heart has beat steady for so long. It's realizing that what you once thought to be so sturdy, is crashing down. It's abandoning the past and moving on.
